At Advance Initiative, we exist to catalyze South Asians to become a global missional force. As we mobilize South Asians toward this mission, we’re inviting interns to join us in that work.
Whether you're a designer, researcher, content creator, or planner—we believe your gifts matter in the story God is writing. Our internships are flexible (2–5 hours/week), remote, and intentional. You'll gain experience, grow in vision, and make a significant impact in advancing the gospel.

Graphic Design Intern
Time Commitment: 2–5 hours/week
Location: Remote
Reports to: Director of Programs and Recruitment
Description:
The Graphic Design Intern will support the visual communication needs of Advance Initiative. This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling through design, with a desire to see the gospel advance through excellent visuals.
Responsibilities:
Create graphics for social media, events, and newsletters
Assist with branding and design for upcoming conferences and trips
Help maintain visual consistency across platforms
Collaborate with the team to conceptualize campaign aesthetics
Ideal Candidate:
Proficient in Canva or Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Has an eye for design and detail
Understands or is willing to learn about Advance Initiative’s mission

Research & Data Intern
Time Commitment: ~5 hours/week
Location: Remote
Reports to: Director of Programs & Recruitment
Description:
This intern will work with a team to compile and analyze information related to South Asian populations - general demographic data, religious backgrounds, Christian denominations of SA Christians, and missional opportunities for the top metropolitan cities in America with the highest South Asian population. Your research will directly inform strategic decisions, provide needed data for ministry leaders, and storytelling.
Responsibilities:
Conduct online research related to missional and cultural trends
Compile statistics on diaspora communities and unreached people groups
Update and organize existing data sheets and documents
Assist in data analysis
Ideal Candidate:
Strong analytical and research skills
Familiar with Google Sheets/Excel
Detail-oriented and able to synthesize large amounts of information
Passionate about the Great Commission and South Asia
Social Media Intern
Time Commitment: ~5 hours/week
Location: Remote
Reports to: Director of Programs and Recruitment
Description:
The Social Media Intern will help grow our online presence and engage our audience through thoughtful, gospel-centered content that reflects our heart for South Asia and mobilization.
Responsibilities:
Assist with creating and scheduling content for Instagram and Facebook
Help draft captions, stories, and reels
Monitor analytics and suggest improvements
Engage with followers and help grow our digital community
Ideal Candidate:
Strong understanding of social media platforms
Experience with scheduling tools like Loomly or Hootsuite
Can write clearly and with purpose
Passion for missions and ministry among South Asians
Event Coordination Intern
Time Commitment: ~5 hours/week
Location: Remote (occasional in-person opportunities if applicable)
Reports to: Director of Programs and Recruitment
Description:
This intern will play a vital support role in helping organize and execute events such as Advance Conferences, Weekend to Explore, Weekend to Discern, and Church Planting Cohorts.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and scheduling events
Coordinate logistics (registrations, vendors, travel details)
Communicate with attendees and speakers
Help create checklists, timelines, and follow-up plans
Ideal Candidate:
Strong organizational and communication skills
Good at multitasking and problem-solving
Enjoys seeing details come together
Passionate about creating spaces for mission-focused community
